Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Asheville Home Health is a locally owned and operated home care agency dedicated to helping clients live happy and healthy lives at home. We are currently hiring kind, compassionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our team. Whether you are new to the field or have years of experience, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Assisting or performing personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, hair care, and dressing
• Medication reminders
• Planning and preparing meals according to client dietary requirements; feeding client when necessary
• Assisting with ambulation, with or without mechanical aids
• Assisting with routine bodily functions including toileting
• Assisting with therapy exercises and range of motion (ROM)
• Light housekeeping: changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and laundry
• Providing companionship and stimulation: reading, walks, accompanying client to appointments
• Grocery shopping and other errands as needed
• Taking and recording client vital signs; monitoring input and output
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition to Asheville Home Health
• Recording pertinent information pertaining to the client's care

Qualifications

• Current NC CNA certification preferred — new graduates and those currently in training are welcome
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a client's home
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
