Answers to Some of Your Most Commonly Asked Questions

What can I expect from Asheville Home Health?

Whether you are looking for In-Home Care or a dedicated Shower Team Service,  Asheville Home Health is proud to provide quality care for the residents of the Asheville, NC area.  Our Nurses and CNA's are committed to improving your quality of life while helping you maintain dignity and independence during the senior years.

What types of service does Asheville Home Health offer?

Nursing Care,  CNA Care,  Companion/Respite Care and the  Shower Team.  Many seniors prefer to live in the comfort of their own homes, which has proven to enhance quality of life and increase longevity, amongst many other benefits.  You’ll receive all the support and care from Asheville Home Health Nurses and CNA's to maintain or regain independence for yourself or your loved ones.

What are the differences between the levels of In-Home Care services you provide?

Based on the needs of our clients, we provide 3 distinct levels of In-Home Care services, available 24 hours per day,  7 days a week.  All levels of In-Home Care have around the clock access to an on-call RN.  Our most affordable option is Companion/Respite Care which is "hands off" (the care giver never physically touches the client) and great for seniors looking for additional support.  The next level is Certified Nurse Aide Care which is "hands on" and suitable for many cases including post-procedure recovery.  The highest level of service is Licensed Nurse Care.  This is an all inclusive In-Home Care service, where our nurse works with your Primary Care Physician, manages and administers medication and provides highly personalized care.

What geographical areas do you cover with your services?

We provide quality In-Home Care for residents of the Asheville, NC area and proudly serve Buncombe,  Henderson,  Haywood,  Madison,  Yancey,  McDowell and Rutherford Counties.  If you're not sure if we cover your location, call us today at (828) 676-6176 and we’ll answer any questions you might have.

What COVID-19 safety measures do you have in place when providing In-Home Care?

We have introduced strict measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.  All of our staff is trained in infectious disease control and the necessary protocol for preventing infections, according to recommendations from the CDC.  As a client, and as part of your Plan of Care, you can decide whether or not un-vaccinated caregivers are allowed in your home.  We will adhere to your preference without question.

How much can I expect to pay for your services?

We will work with your Long Term Care insurance provider so you can be sure that you’ll always get the best value for your money.  We provide all necessary and supportive documentation to ensure coverage is complete and maintained.  We won’t make you sign long-term contracts, and you can start and stop using our services to suit your needs.  Call us at (828) 676-6176 and we will be happy to discuss the different options and flexible payment methods (we accept all major credit cards and other virtual payment methods such as PayPal).

I am very interested in your services, how do I get started?

We have a Registered Nurse (RN) on call 24/7.  If you are interested in our services either for yourself or a loved one, all you need to do is call (828) 676-6176 and talk to our friendly staff.  We will explain the next steps in the process, which can include a free in-home consultation.  This gives us the opportunity to discuss your needs, or those of your loved one.  Before care begins, we will develop a personalized Plan of Care just for you.  We are very flexible and will not tie you to any long-term contracts.  You can rest assured that our services will be available to you when you are ready.

What if my usual caregiver is unavailable?

We understand the importance of consistency.  When possible, you’ll be assigned the same caregiver.  If for any reason your normal caregiver is unavailable, we’ll ensure the same level of care and service is provided by another one of our experienced caregivers.  We’ll always keep you informed and let you know in advance of any changes.

What Virtual Healthcare do you provide?

We want to provide our clients with the most innovative and flexible ways to maintain safety in the home.  This is why we turned to virtual assistant devices.  Virtual assistants allow for tele-health and remote monitoring, offering families a very affordable peace of mind.  We offer two main packages - Standard and Premium Virtual Care.  Contact us at (828) 676-6176 to find out more about the most suitable Virtual Care option for you.

Are your services only offered to seniors?

No, you don’t have to be a senior to benefit from our services.  Whether you’re recovering from surgery, have a disability, are a new parent or just need help with daily tasks and activities around the house, we’ll be happy to develop a personalized Plan of Care for you.

What are the advantages of using Asheville Home Health staff compared to hiring someone through a personal ad?

The reasons are many, but the most important is that we employ highly experienced RN’s, CNA’s and Housekeeper's.   Additionally all of our staff are screened, bonded and insured.  We maintain strict infection prevention protocol standards.  This includes the use of proper PPE and all safety measures as recommended by the CDC.
